4 Press any key to terminate the test. The IAD displays the POTS Diagnostics
menu.

On/Off Hook Test
The On/Off Hook test reports the hook state of each voice port line. To
perform an On/Off Hook test, follow the steps below.
1 Type “O” on the POTS Diagnostics menu to select On/Off Hook Test. The
IAD displays the status of the test as it runs in real time:
2 Press Enter to terminate the test. The IAD displays the POTS Diagnostics
menu.
The other tests listed on the POTS Diagnostics menu (Figure 7.3) are reserved
for Verilink engineers:
I. Infineon Codec Test
C. Select Voice Loop Back Test Channel (8208 Only)
V. Send/Receive Voice
M. Quick Voice Loop Back Test (8208 Only)
N. Burning Voice Loop Back Test (8208 Only)
