QUAD T1
Counter Menu
The
T1 Port Counter Menu
displays a total count of errors since
the last reset or since the QUAD T1 module was powered up. It is
useful in evaluating the performance of a T1 circuit over a
prolonged period of time.
It can also be used during testing—reset the counters and then
periodically press
E
NTER
at the menu prompt to refresh the display
and see if errors are accumulating.
To access the
T1 Port Counter Menu
, type "C" at the
T1 Port
Performance Menu
. Figure 4-5 illustrates the
T1 Port Counter
Menu
, and Table 4-4 lists the menu items.

Item Description
BPV Indicates a Bipolar Violation has occurred (2 sequential received pulses of the same
polarity). Does not include intentional bipolar violations used in B8ZS coding.
FE Indicates an accumulated count of framing errors.
ESF Indicates an accumulated count of ESF errors. Applies only to ESF T1 circuits.
CRC Indicates an accumulated count of CRC6 errors. Applies only to ESF T1 circuits.
R

) reset counters Resets the counters shown on this menu. Until this command is used, the values in the
counters above will increment from power-up time.
X) exit this menu Exits to the
