IMUX Configuration
This section provides information about the E1 IMUX 2160 module
configuration.
E1 IMUX
Configuration
Menu
To display the Configuration Menu, select an IMUX 2160 module
from the Main Menu and type “C” for configuration. The E1 IMUX
Configuration Menu is displayed (Figure 3-8).

NOTE:
Careful consideration must be given to the selection for DTE
handshake. If MANUAL is selected, every control lead is
immediately forced off. This absolutely prevents data
transmission. In MANUAL DTE Handshake mode DSR must be
forced on or no data will be transmitted. In AUTOMATIC
mode the DTE must assert DTR or DSR will not be returned
and no data will be transmitted.
Table 3-7 E1 IMUX Configuration Menu
Command/Field Description
L Line Type—Use this field to select the line configuration. Valid choices are E1 or
T1.
C Channel Rate—Use this field to select the data rate per DS0. Valid choices are
64K and 56K. 64K is the preferred option for E1.
R Rx Clk Phase—Use this field to select the phase relationship of receive clock and
receive data. Valid choices are Normal and Inverted.
T Tx Clk Phase—Use this field to select the phase relationship of transmit clock
and transmit data. Valid choices are Normal and Inverted.
