This section discusses the various tests available for the AS56 and

AS56

Plus

in 56/64 kbps DDS mode.

Local Loop

When the Local Loop is ON, the front panel

LED will illuminate and

local testing can be performed by external DTE equipment or by Access

System 56’s internal BERT

WHEN TESTING IS COMPLETED, BE SURE TO TURN THE LOOP

“OFF”.
